According to Ukrainian local officials and the State Emergency Service, Russia launched large-scale strikes on multiple regions including Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, and Kyiv starting August 10. As of the morning of August 11, the attacks had killed at least nine people and injured dozens more.
In Zaporizhzhia, Russian forces used missiles, drones, multiple rocket launchers, and artillery in a mass attack over the past day, killing six and injuring 52, with partial damage to infrastructure. In Kyiv, a pre-dawn missile strike hit a warehouse, triggering a fire spanning 1,200 square meters; one person was injured and the blaze has since been contained.
In Dnipropetrovsk, strikes killed three and injured five, damaging local logistics facilities. Ukraine's Air Force reported that Russia employed Iskander ballistic missiles, North Korean-origin KN-23 ballistic missiles, and Zircon cruise missiles in overnight attacks on Kyiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, and Chernihiv.
