   2026-08-11 Al Jazeeraadmin20

Russian forces launched a barrage of ballistic missiles, anti-ship missiles, and over 200 Shahed drones targeting the southwestern port city of Odesa overnight. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of waging war against global food security, as Odesa's port is the main artery for Ukraine's agricultural exports.

At least eight people were injured and residential buildings sustained damage. Missile and drone attacks were recorded at 22 locations. Russia's TASS news agency also reported attacks on fuel and military equipment depots in Odesa's port.

In Kharkiv, a Russian drone strike on an apartment building killed two men aged 50 and 66, wounding at least 21 others. Attacks were also recorded in the Zhytomyr, Mykolaiv, Kyiv, Sumy, Dnipro, Zaporizhia, and Donetsk regions. In Russia, Ukrainian drone attacks killed three civilians in Belgorod overnight.
