China's Yuanjie Technology forecasts third-quarter net profit of up to 453 million yuan (about 68 million US dollars), a surge of as much as 776 percent from a year earlier, on revenue of up to 700 million yuan.
The company attributed the sharp earnings increase primarily to robust expansion of its data-center business, with laser product shipments continuing to climb, a sign of how demand from AI computing infrastructure is rippling through the upstream optical component supply chain.
In a separate sign of momentum in AI infrastructure financing, Beijing-based Infinigence AI completed a 2.3-billion-yuan funding round this week, while industry data showed Chinese AI large models topped global charts for weekly token calls for the 24th consecutive week.
Analysts say the AI industry's profit pool is gradually shifting from upstream compute and models toward downstream applications, and quarterly results from component and module suppliers along the data-center chain are becoming a key gauge of whether AI demand is translating into real revenue.
