System-window glass is classified by performance into basic, advanced and high-performance, differing in layers, coating and structure. Basic: double insulating glass such as '5+12A+5' or '5+15A+20A' — the sealed air layer blocks convection, 30% better insulation than single glass, 25–30 dB sound reduction, meeting low-floor baseline needs at high value. Advanced: functional coating — mainly double insulating Low-E (single-silver or double-silver); single-silver reflects 70% of infrared heat (summer block, winter keep, K 2.8–3.2 W/m²·K), double-silver reflects > 80% (K 2.0–2.5 W/m²·K) for energy-sensitive homes; some widen the air layer to 20A for more soundproofing. High-performance: triple insulating such as '5+12A+5+12A+5', 35–40 dB to block high-frequency traffic noise, suited to street/airport homes; some add laminated structure (laminated + insulating) — no shards after breakage, balancing safety and sound, for high-rise or homes with children; some cold regions choose triple Low-E with K below 1.8 W/m²·K.
