OpenAI expanded its GPT-6 family through early October 2026. GPT-6 Sol, featuring an interactive Intelligent UI that renders charts, editable graphs, forms, buttons and small tools, moved to paid tiers on October 7, while GPT-6 Luna reached Free and Go users globally on October 8. The company says streaming thinking cuts average wait times by about 44%. The release follows GPT-6 Astra and the GPT-6.1 Sol coding-focused model priced at 2/10 dollars per million tokens. Alongside the consumer rollout, OpenAI continued commercial deployment of its Dots assistant and reaffirmed a 28-day plan from its Codex team to ship daily product improvements. The interactive interface marks a shift from prose-only answers toward rendered, actionable outputs, though questions remain about how source citations are handled inside generated visuals.
