OpenAI has rolled out GPT-6, a new model family that moves ChatGPT away from mostly text answers toward interactive interfaces. Replies can now render charts, editable graphs, forms, buttons and small tools, with streaming reasoning that the company says cuts average wait times by about 44 percent. Paid users receive GPT-6 Sol, while free users get GPT-6 Luna, rolling out globally.
Alongside the model, OpenAI launched the Decisions API, which returns yes or no probabilities, category picks or scale ratings. The company says it is roughly ten times faster than the Responses API, prices classification at 0.10 US dollars per million input tokens, and reduces its paid API tiers from five to three.
The move puts OpenAI in closer competition with Google, which shipped a similar expressive interface earlier in the year. Observers note the open question is how source citations behave inside a rendered visual. The launch comes as rivals Anthropic and Mistral also shipped major model updates within days.
