Working principle of compressed air electric heaters: the core element is a stainless steel heating tube filled with high-thermal-conductivity magnesia powder and embedded with a nickel-chromium alloy resistance wire. When connected to AC power, current flows through the wire and generates Joule heat, which is transferred through the magnesia powder to the metal sheath of the tube, converting electrical energy into heat.
Core functions of compressed air electric heaters:
1. Raise the temperature of compressed air and remove moisture. Compressed air from the compressor releases large amounts of liquid water, and low-temperature air is more prone to water mist. After heating, the relative humidity of the air drops significantly; combined with a downstream dryer (refrigerated or desiccant type), it strengthens dehumidification and prevents water accumulation and corrosion in pipelines and equipment.
2. Prevent freezing of compressed air pipelines, valves and instruments. In low-temperature environments (outdoor in winter), heated compressed air avoids ice blockage and ensures stable operation of pneumatic systems.
