The Joule effect converts electricity to heat. Direct resistance heating puts voltage on the object itself (conductor only); indirect uses alloy or ceramic elements (Fe-Cr-Al, Ni-Cr, SiC, MoSi2) that radiate, convect or conduct heat to the load. Element max temperature reaches 1000-1700°C.
