In the internet era, tourism is upgrading into 'smart tourism'. Building a smart scenic area is a large system fully aligned with society, market, visitors, management, service, marketing and operations - yet many scenic areas have fallen into the trap of 'building for the sake of building', pursuing flashy features while ignoring practicality. Several aspects should be advanced in parallel:
1. Demand research: many scenic areas do this poorly - incomplete research and unfamiliarity with the business leave later projects unable to proceed, and only after acceptance do they find the result impractical and far from the goal of a smart scenic area. Solid demand research and repeated system analysis are essential up front, tightly combined with business, marketing, management and the internet, modeling every process from planning down to the smallest workflow to lay a firm foundation.
2. Infrastructure: the operating base of the smart-tourism system, covering network, data centers, security, power distribution, emergency response and storage. Building the scenic area's own internal network with a stable foundation strongly supports every future platform and system.
