Water-based: water as diluent, no other solvent added; low odor, non-flammable, non-explosive. Industrial paint: coatings that reach consistent appearance and performance by specific application, with explicit anti-corrosion and mechanical requirements. Features of water-based industrial paint: 1) fits factory painting - e.g., radiator-interior water-based paint can bake together with exterior powder coating in one pass; auto-parts water-based paint meets immersion coating of complex shapes. 2) Clear anti-corrosion needs - salt spray, oil, water and hot-water resistance; auto-parts require salt spray >=300 h, >=500 h for corroded parts like water tanks. 3) Mature coating system - substrate treatment, primer/intermediate/topcoat selection and matching, and film thickness are explicitly specified in coating design.
