Ningbo, September 23 (GlobeNewswire) -- Geely Auto Group has introduced Geely Smart Charging, a next-generation AI-powered charging technology that delivers peak charging power of up to 2,250 kW from a single connector, setting a new global record for charging power. At the heart of the system is Xingrui PowerMind, a smart energy AI model jointly developed by Geely and StepFun, which coordinates the vehicle, battery, charging station, cloud, grid and energy storage system.
The AI predicts battery temperatures up to 30 seconds ahead and adjusts charging power dynamically, keeping average charging temperature below 55 degrees Celsius and peak temperature below 65 degrees. An end-to-end five-point liquid cooling system manages heat across the energy storage battery, charging pile, cable, port and battery pack.
In real-world tests, the Lynk & Co 10 and Zeekr 001 charged from 10 to 70 percent in 4 minutes 30 seconds and from 10 to 97 percent in 8 minutes 40 seconds. Geely also introduced lithium-ion pulse restoration technology that uses micro-pulse currents to reactivate lithium ions, increasing battery cycle life by 20 percent.
The company plans to build more than 22,000 charging stations and over 100,000 charging guns in China by the end of 2027.
