The 28th Pet Fair Asia, which just concluded in Shanghai, attracted more than 2,600 exhibitors from home and abroad, a record scale. Numerous overseas buyers came to inspect Chinese smart pet products on site, and domestic smart pet supplies are gradually prying open overseas markets.

A Vietnamese buyer said that with the development of AI technology, pet-product technology may need updating every year, and they have received much positive feedback from customers about Chinese products in the Vietnamese market. An Indian buyer also believes that China leads the world in AI technology and that Chinese companies have strong innovation capabilities, launching many new products every year - an important reason they made a special trip to China to source goods.

Pet dryers have become a hot seller. In a pet-products workshop in Cixi, Zhejiang, assembly lines run continuously as workers rush to assemble pet drying boxes. After packing, this batch of equipment will be shipped directly to the United States. The company's overseas orders keep growing; it basically produces several thousand units a day. Beyond the North American market, orders also cover Europe, Australia and Southeast Asia. In the first half of this year, the company's overseas sales grew more than 55% year-on-year, and full-year overseas orders are expected to exceed 10 million yuan.

From pet dryers and smart feeders to more AI-driven pet products, pet keeping is becoming smarter, and pet consumption is upgrading from "keeping pets alive" to "keeping them well." Domestic companies are increasing R&D investment, pushing smart pet supplies toward cost-effective consumer electronics. A Shanghai company is optimizing a smart feeder with facial-recognition and weighing functions that can record each cat's food intake, analyze and formulate feeding plans, and dispense the right amount of food even when no one is home.
