The Yixing high-speed railway has begun trial operation, entering the test-running phase. At 6:40 a.m. on August 18, train No. 55103 slowly pulled into Xingshan Station and traveled toward Yichang along the newly built Yichang-Xingshan high-speed railway (the Yixing line) to conduct train diagram parameter tests. This marks the Yixing line's formal transition from the joint debugging and commissioning stage to the trial operation stage, counting down to the full opening of the line.
The Yixing line is 108.38 km long with a designed speed of 350 km/h. It starts at Yichang East Station, connects Yichang North Station, and terminates at Xingshan Station, where it links to the Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway. After the full line opens, the travel time from Xingshan to Yichang will be reduced from 2 hours to about 20 minutes, the trip from Yichang to Chongqing is expected to shorten to about 3 hours, and the shortest travel time from Wuhan to Chongqing is expected to be compressed to about 4 hours.
After 50 days of joint debugging and commissioning, the Yixing line has successfully completed all trial tests. Through a 'dynamic fine-tuning + precise measurement' mechanism and multiple rounds of large-machine grinding and track tamping, the average line dynamic TQI index-reflecting the smoothness of the railway track-stood at only 1.25, far better than the operation standard and reaching a leading level across the entire railway network.
This trial operation will strictly follow actual operation standards, carrying out tests such as train diagram parameter testing, fault simulation, emergency rescue drills, and timetable-based train operation tests, simulating the line's formal operating state to comprehensively verify transport organization, train dispatching, service frequency, passenger service equipment status, and the compatibility of all systems, providing a scientific basis for the line's formal opening.
After the Yixing line opens, the Shanghai-Chongqing-Chengdu Yangtze River high-speed railway and the Zhengzhou-Chongqing high-speed railway will intersect and interconnect at Xingshan, opening up a fast westward corridor for Hubei and injecting strong momentum into the high-quality development of the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
