Huawei's share of China's intelligent driving chip market rose to 13.2 percent in the first half of 2026, breaking into double digits for the first time, according to data cited by Zhineng Auto on August 14.
NVIDIA's share fell from 52.1 percent to 45 percent, while Horizon Robotics held 12.0 percent. Huawei shipped 473,000 chips in the first half, close to Tesla's 478,000 units, while Mobileye dropped out of the ranking.
The shift reflects the growing competitiveness of domestic Chinese semiconductor suppliers in the automotive intelligence sector. As intelligent driving features become standard equipment in more vehicle models, demand for localized chip solutions is expected to rise further.
Industry analysts say the changing market share dynamics signal a new phase in China's autonomous driving supply chain, with domestic players gaining ground against traditional international leaders.
