BYD officially launched the 2027 Seal 06 on August 11, offering both DM-i plug-in hybrid and EV pure electric versions with prices ranging from 99,900 to 155,900 yuan, breaking the 100,000-yuan price floor for flash charging-equipped vehicles.
The new model comes standard with BYD's blade battery and flash charging technology across all variants. It is equipped with the "Tianshen Eye B" assisted driving system in LiDAR version, supporting intelligent parking and urban navigation assist features.
In a notable commitment to consumer confidence, BYD announced that the company will take full responsibility for accidents occurring within the system's scope of responsibility, without going through insurance claims.
The Seal 06 launch intensifies what industry observers call a "charging infrastructure arms race" in China's NEV market, as flash charging technology - once reserved for premium models - becomes available at increasingly accessible price points.
The aggressive pricing strategy reflects the intensifying competition in China's NEV market, where automakers are pushing to deliver advanced technology at lower price points to capture mainstream household demand.
