Yiwu Market Tanzania was officially unveiled in Dar es Salaam, marking a key step in the global expansion of the "Yiwu China Commodity City" brand and creating the largest "Yiwu" in East Africa. Developed by Yiwu China Commodities City Group's international company together with Weihai Huatan, the project covers about 75,000 square meters with 2,060 standard shops and 1,000 dedicated parking spaces, offering one-stop government services including customs and taxation. It is the largest one-stop trade complex in Tanzania.
Situated in East Africa's core trade hub, the new market will provide Yiwu merchants with an offline exhibition and sales base facing local buyers, while giving East African purchasers access to competitively priced source goods from Yiwu. The market will be paired with showrooms and overseas warehouses in an integrated "market-warehouse-hall" operating model.
Yiwu launched its brand-going-global program in September 2023. To date, 92 overseas brand projects have been arranged, including 6 overseas branch markets covering 38 countries and regions such as Germany, the Czech Republic, Brazil and Indonesia, serving 5,500 merchants expanding abroad.
