The 2026 New Industry Standardization Pioneering Forum opened in Beijing on October 13, coinciding with the 2026 World Standards Day. The forum released the general report of the New Industry Standardization Development Report (2026), systematically reviewing the development of new industry standardization and looking ahead to future directions, along with four future industry standardization research reports diagnosing emerging industry trends and identifying standardization tracks.
A highlight was the upgrade of TongDao, described as the world's first vertical-domain standard large model. Standard model TongDao 3.0 was unveiled, intended to reshape the standardization working paradigm and mark a shift from labor-intensive standardization toward human-machine collaboration.
The forum also held the launch ceremony for the Space Photovoltaic Standards Special Group under the National Technical Committee on Solar Photovoltaic Energy Systems of Standardization, and started up a Quality Enterprise, Automotive and Lithium Battery, and Photovoltaic Compliance Special Group under the MIIT Rule of Law and Compliance Construction Standardization Working Group.
Two important standards were released: General Technical Requirements for AI Operating Systems and Requirements for Permission Management of AI Operating Systems.
The space photovoltaic special group is notable for extending standardization work from terrestrial industry into the space economy, building a cross-border platform for photovoltaics and aerospace to provide energy standards support for satellite internet and space computing.
A cluster of benchmarks and toolkits was also released together: the QiuSuo AI national standard evaluation benchmark 4.0, the DataKernel data evaluation system 2.0, the HengXin integrated circuit series test benchmark 1.0, and the TanSuo panoramic carbon intelligence toolkit 1.0, establishing measurement standards for AI, data, integrated circuits and green low-carbon sectors.
