Alibaba's ecosystem-affiliated Qwen AI has expanded its in-app agent Qwen Go!, broadening the range of tasks it can process autonomously to handle more complex personal business matters.
Previously, Qwen AI was already able to act on behalf of users across dozens of scenarios including shopping, travel and logistics. Media tests found the newly embedded agent can automatically process flight delay claims, theater and venue reservations, restaurant bookings, price comparison and ordering, and resume submission for job applications. In one documented test case, the AI independently queried a flight delay, interfaced with customer service, submitted the claim materials, and successfully obtained 70 yuan in compensation.
Official product statements indicate user feedback will continue to be collected after launch for ongoing iteration.
Major vendors are collectively upgrading AI from question-answering tools into agents capable of acting autonomously. Qwen's choice to embed the agent within existing applications, rather than developing a separate app, allows for more stable development and promotion and makes it easier to monetize services across the Alibaba ecosystem.
The trend reflects a broader shift in the domestic AI application market toward agent-based products that complete multi-step workflows rather than simply returning answers. Merchants are following suit. MiniMax opened its first official flagship store on Tmall ahead of the 2026 Double 11 shopping festival, launching model subscription packages under the M Plan with Go, Explore and Build tiers available monthly or annually, with the Go monthly plan starting at 24.5 yuan for first-time customers.
MiniMax's move is not isolated. On September 3, Tmall launched an AI Space Station token recharge center connecting subscription services from Alibaba Cloud, Zhipu, Kimi, MiniMax and DeepSeek.
