Baidu announced on October 12 that Baidu World 2026 will be held on November 12 at the China National Convention Center Phase II in Beijing, with ticket sales now open on the conference website.
The theme of this year's conference is "Next Act, Intelligent Organization." Ten years ago at Baidu World 2016, Baidu founder Robin Li argued that "the next act of the internet is artificial intelligence." A decade later, the conference theme echoes that judgment while shifting focus toward organizational restructuring driven by AI.
Notable developments around the same period: ByteDance's short-drama app PineDrama passed 100 million cumulative downloads roughly nine months after launch, with about seven million daily active users and over 12 million downloads in September alone, according to Sensor Tower. Vipshop launched its self-developed AI assistant for text and voice interaction. Embodied intelligence firm Euler Wonder completed a several-hundred-million-yuan angel-plus round, its fourth raise in under six months, backed by Chengyuanxiang Fund, Xinneng Venture Capital, Xizhou International, Topband and Hony Capital.
