Multimodal large model company Mosii Intelligence announced on October 12 the completion of a Pre-A round exceeding one billion yuan, led by Huakong Fund with participation from CDB Sci-Tech Innovation Fund, Shanghai Sci-Tech Innovation Fund and others. Proceeds will fund research and capability building in fully omni-modal real-time interaction as well as global commercial deployment.
Mosii Intelligence focuses on the direction of omni-modal real-time interaction. Its founder and chief scientist is Professor Qiu Xipeng, a specially appointed professor at Fudan University and a leading researcher in recurrent neural network theory and learning.
Commentators note that a Pre-A round above one billion yuan is on the high side for an AI large model startup, indicating that capital is paying attention to the frontier of fully omni-modal real-time interaction. Capital is betting on a direction; Mosii will need to demonstrate conversion efficiency from academic strength to product capability, and to find a sustainable differentiation path amid pressure from both domestic large firms and startups at home and abroad.
