In the accessories trading area of Yiwu International Trade City, close to 10,000 new designs depart for global markets every day. Half an hour's drive away in Fotang town, designers at Yiwu Dingchao Accessories are blending traditional Chinese motifs, understated luxury and street fashion into titanium steel ring designs that become bestsellers on European and Southeast Asian shelves within days.
Still very much a standard workshop, the company runs a 3,200-square-meter production line alongside just two full-time designers, whose desks are piled with trend signals gathered from global markets — customer samples, cross-border e-commerce search hot words and fashion week color palettes — all converted into drawings and patterns.
Established in 2014, Dingchao followed the same path as most early Yiwu factories, starting with OEM processing of customer-supplied samples. Over twelve years it moved through to ODM independent design and development and offering selection schemes to clients, before registering its own "DINGCHAO" trademark in September 2025 across all core categories of Class 14.
Design capability now forms a complete closed loop: designers lead style selection, the supply chain company coordinates raw materials, and the in-house workshop handles casting, stamping, PVD vacuum coating, laser welding, stone setting and engraving. Daily output runs 50,000 to 80,000 pieces with annual capacity of 20 million to 30 million pieces, turning a design drawing into a globally deliverable mass-market product.
