CCTV News reported on October 11 that import and export container volume on "Yixinou" China-Europe freight trains has surpassed 200,000 TEU this year.
As one of the country's major China-Europe train assembly centers, the Yiwu-Xinjiang-Europe rail service has opened 27 steadily operating routes reaching more than 160 cities across over 50 countries and regions on the Eurasian continent.
The milestone underscores Yiwu's role as a consolidated departure point for China-Europe freight. As a major light-commodity and small-commodity export hub, Yiwu has increasingly leveraged rail corridors to shorten delivery times for small-lot, high-frequency cross-border orders, complementing its well-developed air and sea logistics networks.
The newly opened elevated station building at Yiwu railway station also enters service this month, with daily passenger services increasing from 226 to 272 trains under the national railway system's fourth-quarter timetable adjustment for 2026.
