The CPC Central Committee and the State Council have printed and distributed the "Opinions on Developing New Quality Productive Forces". The document proposes to fully implement the "AI+" action, advance AI-driven transformation of traditional industries, and accelerate scenario applications of a new generation of smart terminals including intelligent-connected new-energy vehicles, AI phones and computers, and humanoid robots.
The Opinions call for accelerating innovation in AI and other digital-intelligence technologies, making breakthroughs in basic theories and core technologies, and strengthening the efficient supply of computing power, algorithms and data. They also call for rolling out national AI industry-application pilot bases and high-value application scenarios tailored to local conditions and sectors, and for building technical-monitoring, risk early-warning and emergency-response systems to ensure AI is safe, reliable and controllable.
Institutions are bullish on the AI application space: with multimodal interaction breakthroughs, AI is shifting from passive response to proactive anticipation of user needs. According to Burning Insight data, the global AI inference chip market is projected to grow from 606.7 billion yuan in 2024 to 3,069.6 billion yuan in 2030 (CAGR 31%), while China's market is expected to expand from 160.8 billion yuan to 1,166.4 billion yuan (CAGR 39%).
