Seres Group and CATL have signed a long-term strategic cooperation deepening agreement in Chongqing, under which the two sides will deepen collaboration around battery safety, industry-chain synergy and global ecosystem cooperation. CATL will continue increasing its investment in Chongqing, helping the city build a trillion-yuan-level high-end intelligent-connected NEV industrial cluster.
The two parties are accelerating the "factory-in-factory" phase-two project for high-end battery packs at Seres' super factory, with planned annual capacity of 10–12 GWh; once both phases are complete, total annual capacity will exceed 20 GWh. The AITO brand has accumulated more than 1.2 million deliveries since its founding, with all models equipped with CATL batteries, and the cooperation will continue on a long-term, full-lineup basis.
Going forward, the two sides will further deepen cooperation in supercharging networks, battery swap and battery services, jointly exploring innovative paths for the NEV energy-replenishment ecosystem and building a full-life-cycle service system. They will also jointly expand global markets, accelerating AITO's layout in Europe, the Middle East and Central Asia, and setting a new benchmark for Chinese new-energy smart manufacturing going overseas.
