The Economic Daily reports that Yiwu's cross-border e-commerce bonded-import business has cleared 84.6967 million orders so far this year, up 29.49% year on year, with the bonded-import scale remaining the largest of any Chinese city.
The momentum reflects Yiwu's shift from a pure export hub toward a two-way global trade hub, where efficient customs clearance, bonded warehouses and cross-border platforms let overseas brands reach Chinese consumers while local small commodities keep flowing out.
Combined with its vast small-commodity export network, the growth underlines Yiwu's role as a front line of China's cross-border e-commerce and a barometer of foreign-trade vitality.
