On August 31, 2026, AI robotics company ZhiPingFang announced that its AlphaBot 2 robot, powered by an original brain-inspired embodied large model, has been deployed at a bar in Hong Kong's Lan Kwai Fong district.
The robot provides cocktail-making and interactive services to customers, marking the first deployment of a service robot in a real open scenario in Hong Kong. The company said the robot has achieved legal, compliant, and sustainable normalized operation in a real commercial environment.
Bar environments present complex variables that test robots' environmental perception, task planning, motion control, and human-robot interaction capabilities far more than fixed exhibition demonstrations.
If the architecture can operate stably in Lan Kwai Fong's noisy and dynamic open environment, it will validate the reliability and generalization capability of embodied intelligence systems in real-world service scenarios.
