The handcraft DIY trend has expanded from China to overseas markets, with Yiwu's comprehensive handcraft supply chain ecosystem becoming crucial support for small entrepreneurs entering cross-border e-commerce, according to industry reports on September 1.
3D pearl sticker painting products have captured the overseas "summer Halloween" aesthetic, launching themed kits featuring ghosts, pumpkin lanterns, skeletons, and witches. With Yiwu sourcing costs between 4.5 and 6.5 yuan, these products achieved over 8,700 orders within seven days on TikTok.
Even nano-influencers with just a thousand followers have used AI-edited short videos of the crafting process to achieve million-level view counts, demonstrating how social commerce is reshaping product discovery for small commodities.
Korean dopamine-style cloth stickers have also been quickly adopted by Yiwu merchants. Some sellers have created DIY experience zones where consumers pay approximately 20 yuan to create personalized canvas bag decorations using heat-press technology.
The trend highlights how Yiwu's agile manufacturing and supply chain capabilities enable rapid response to viral consumer trends across global social media platforms.
