As of August 31, 848 A-share listed companies in the AI and computing power concept sector disclosed their 2026 semi-annual reports. Among them, 529 companies achieved profitability, 257 saw positive year-on-year net profit growth, and 60 companies turned from losses to profit, indicating a continuously improving industry-wide profitability trend.
AI industry dividends are being transmitted along the supply chain in an orderly manner. Upstream computing hardware companies demonstrated the strongest performance, with Industrial Fulian (Foxconn Industrial Internet) reporting 75.7% year-on-year growth in cloud computing revenue, 2.3x growth in cloud service AI server revenue, and 3.2x growth in GPU AI cabinet shipments.
In the optical communication sector, leading company Zhongji Innolight has entered the scale mass production stage for 1.6T silicon photonic modules, with sufficient orders on hand and customers providing 2027 guidance and orders. Companies like Xin Yisheng and Tianfu Communication achieved significant performance growth through capacity release.
In the midstream model and software services segment, 95 AI concept companies showed a distinctive pattern of high R&D investment with divergent profitability. Over 40% achieved profitability. iFlytek reported revenue of 11.623 billion yuan (up 6.52%), with large model API and MaaS platform service revenue growing approximately 70%, though net profit remained negative at -204 million yuan due to R&D investment exceeding 3 billion yuan.
Downstream AI applications showed multi-point penetration. Kingsoft Office achieved net profit of 2.518 billion yuan (up 236.94%), BlueFocus saw explosive growth in AI-driven advertising platforms, and Hikvision reported net profit of 7.896 billion yuan (up 39.57%) through enriched AI large model product systems for security and digital scenario businesses.
The industry chain's coordinated development pattern is becoming increasingly clear, with computing power leading, models iterating, and applications breaking through across multiple verticals including AI phones, AI PCs, AI glasses, and smart robots.
