Chinese AI company DeepSeek officially launched its V4 Pro large model on August 14, with the upgrade focusing heavily on intelligent agent capabilities, according to a report by CCIDNet.
The new version significantly improves multi-turn dialogue understanding, complex task planning, and autonomous execution, making it suitable for more demanding enterprise scenarios. The model is priced at US$15 per hour, roughly double the previous generation and about 40 percent higher overall.
Industry analysts say the price increase will raise costs for small and medium enterprises, but the leap in agent capabilities strengthens DeepSeek's competitiveness in the enterprise market. The release is seen as a key move in the company's push toward artificial general intelligence.
Separately, DeepSeek open-sourced its agent runtime framework DSH on August 13, supporting file systems, terminals, code tools, and multi-agent collaboration. The move marks its expansion from foundational models into AI programming execution.
