In Yiwu, Zhejiang Province - the world's largest small commodity distribution center - creative cooling products have become this summer's export "blockbusters," driving significant growth in foreign trade.
From January to April 2026, Yiwu's cross-border e-commerce sales reached 52 billion yuan, a 17% year-on-year increase, with cooling products leveraging "lightweight" and "practical" features to capture global summer economy demand.
The "new summer trio" - ice-cooling towels, waist-mounted fans, and AI smart desk fans - are the most sought-after items by international buyers. One ice towel manufacturer reported daily shipments of 160,000 packs with four production lines running at full capacity.
Waist-mounted fans, designed to free hands for outdoor workers, have seen orders booked through August, with products exported to the United States, Europe, Southeast Asia, and Africa. One foreign buyer immediately ordered 5,000 units after testing the product.
AI-powered smart desk fans featuring voice control, mobile app integration, automatic temperature-based adjustment, and human-tracking capabilities have become new favorites in both domestic and European/American markets.
