On October 15, at the 2026 AI Industry Conference in Jinan, the "AI+" high-value scenarios empowering new industrialization were officially released. Guided by the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, CAICT, together with the China Electronics Standardization Institute, the National Industrial Information Security Development Research Center, CCID and other bodies, compiled a scenario map around manufacturing.
Adhering to an "AI landing, scenarios first" orientation, the map covers 20 sub-industries — steel, petrochemicals, non-ferrous metals, building materials, machine tools, automobiles, medical equipment, power equipment, aerospace, home furnishing, pharmaceuticals, bio-manufacturing, historical classics (liquor), electronic components, consumer electronics, new displays, software and information communication — with more than 1,000 high-value scenarios spanning manufacturing's core areas.
The map adopts a "one map per industry, one file per scenario" format and a three-tier system of tackling-level, validation-level and promotion-level, forming a reusable "living map" of industrial AI practice that supports the path of new industrialization. Real industrial scenarios are the touchstone for testing AI's value.
As the high-value scenarios land, artificial intelligence will keep releasing empowerment, driving upstream and downstream coordination and injecting strong intelligent momentum into manufacturing transformation and high-quality new-industrialization development.
