Chinese new energy vehicles have become the focus of the global market, with hard-core strength in fast charging drawing wide attention. CCTV Finance reported that in the first nine months of 2026 China's total vehicle exports reached 8.205 million units, up 65.8% year on year. In September alone, China's auto exports hit 1.053 million units, of which new energy vehicles accounted for 571,000 units, up 1.6 times — meaning more than one in every two Chinese cars exported was electric.
In August, Chinese brands captured a record-high 11.7% share of the European new-car market. The BBC noted that Tesla is no longer the global electric-vehicle sales champion and that China has quietly become the world's No. 1 EV producer. International commentators observed that this remains a global industry, but the driver's seat has changed hands.
The flash-charge breakthrough solves two worldwide pain points — slow charging and cold-weather range loss. In Shenzhen, the second-generation Blade Battery delivers 10% to 97% charge in as fast as 8 minutes 25 seconds, with charging power exceeding 1.2 megawatts, approaching "oil-electric same speed." Extreme testing showed a 600 km range replenished in 8:25. Thanks to a reconstructed material system and thermal management, at minus 30°C the charge time is only about 3 minutes longer than at room temperature, allowing the model to suit climates from Northern Europe to Canada, Russia and Central Asia.
Underlying the performance is a process advance: instead of traditional wound cells, domestically developed stacked lamination arranges electrodes, separator and anode like book pages in parallel paths that tolerate higher current. In July 2026 the strictest-ever national battery standard took effect, mandating "no fire, no explosion" as a compulsory requirement, further strengthening product safety. In 2025, two of every three power batteries installed globally came from China.
From a large auto nation to an auto power, scale is only the starting point; hard-core technology is the real foundation. Chinese NEVs are rewriting the global automotive landscape.
