Hastelloy B-2 is a solid-solution strengthened nickel-molybdenum alloy with significant resistance to hydrogen chloride gas and to sulfuric, acetic and phosphoric acids; excellent hydrochloric acid performance at all concentrations and temperatures. Prevents carbide precipitation in the weld heat-affected zone and can be used in the as-welded condition. Not recommended for oxidizing media.
