Monel K-500 is a precipitation-hardenable nickel-copper alloy combining the corrosion resistance of Alloy 400 with greatly increased strength and hardness. Used in nuclear uranium refining and isotope separation equipment, seamless water and steam piping, seawater exchangers and evaporators, sulfuric and hydrochloric acid environments, and pump shafts and propellers for seawater service.
