Alloy 600 is a nickel-chromium-iron solid-solution strengthened alloy with excellent high-temperature corrosion and oxidation resistance plus good cold/hot workability and weldability. It keeps satisfactory strength and high plasticity below 700 C and suits low-load oxidation-resistant parts up to 1100 C. Resists reducing, oxidizing and nitriding media, chloride stress-corrosion cracking, and dry chlorine / hydrogen chloride gas.
