Are System Windows Suitable for High-Rise Buildings?
System windows are very suitable for high-rise and even super-high-rise homes, thanks to targeted design for safety, wind resistance and stability. High-rise wind is strong with clear pressure differences; the multi-chamber profile (wall ≥ 1.4 mm) raises rigidity, and reinforced mullions resist wind impact. The hardware uses stronger hinges and lock points, a single set bearing 80–150 kg, preventing sash deformation or detachment under wind — more reliable than ordinary single-point locking. High-rise also demands more soundproofing and waterproofing: the 3–5 sealing lines block air convection and reduce wind/rain noise; hidden multi-channel drainage avoids wind-driven backflow leakage, suiting typhoon-prone high-rise. At install, expansion bolts fix the frame at 500–600 mm spacing, firmly tied to the structure. When buying, choose wind-resistance grade 6+ (≥ 3.5 kPa) with tempered insulating glass to further raise safety.
